Tao and Zen
Tao and Zen (08564)
On hiatus until Fall, 2013.
"Tao" literally means "the path" or "the way." Find your own way through the deep, philosophical world of Taoist thought as you learn about cultivating inner peace, going with the flow, and practicing compassion, simplicity and patience. Taoism is the oldest form of Chinese philosophical and religious thought and it still brings enlightenment and peace to millions in the modern world. Tao and Zen will introduce students of all interest levels to the world of Taoism; concepts, history, schools of thought, modern practice, the Taoist arts (Qi Gong, Tai Chi, etc.), tales, artwork, and heroes.
This course is open to anyone, regardless of age, spiritual experience, or personal religious choice. The journey of a thousand miles begin with one step...
