Artist trading cards are a late 20th century invention, heralded by the internet and the ease of international communication. Traded, bought, and shared all over the world, these miniature works of art measure 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" (about the size of a baseball card) and are collected by a wide range of art lovers and artists.
